May Queen
15th May
1971

The May Queen is always chosen by the other pupils and that year the most popular girl was Carole

Miss Kilcoyne, the Head Mistress, said she looked so innocent and angelic that Carole really did fit that description. Miss Kilcoyne made her dress and veil.

Mum had to take her for fittings at Miss Kilcoyne’s bungalow.

The hymn that was sung was ‘Bring flowers of the rarest’ – it was sung beautifully by all the congregation – a brilliant day.
